The letter in PMS 979 is dated 29/4/1930 on board TSS Gascoyne along Ninety Mile Beach, with a postscript 30/4/1930 at Broome mentioning Laves intention to work on "Karadjeri".

`Two Gumbainggar legends' is a name assigned to a bound copy in the Fisher Library, University of Sydney (call number 398.20994/33) which combines a copy of PMS 978 and PMS 979.
