July 1981 visit to macrofossil locality

In 1980 Ian Ogilvie while checking an aeromagnetic anomaly noticed unusual fossils in the same locality, and contacted  the University of Adelaide, who referred him to the palaeontologist Dr Mary Wade at the Queensland Museum.  Dr Wade was sufficiently interested to want to see the locality herself, and the following July travelled to Tennant Creek with her assistant Andrew Rozefelds. Ian Ogilvie then guided them (and Paul Harbourn a Geopeko geologist) to the locality, at low outcrops to the west of the lower Hanson River.
